Last week we engaged a young person who has a love of fantasy role play games to learn about the traditional art of bread plaiting as part of our history geography curriculum (Countrylife).
By combining this topic with the option of making you badges for his role play characters as well he not only stayed fully engaged for an hours task but we also covered shapes, symbols and signs of hierarchy and status as well as maths measurements, recipe writing and of course creative thinking.
Think this was truly a cross curriculum activity!
